Christmas Event Idea

We have a new idea for a community Christmas Event!

I think that we need to put something special together for this holiday season and bring our community closer together :D.

  1. Have the community get together and create vinyl wraps that players can receive after participating in a number of races during mid-December to early January. The wraps will be Christmas holiday themed like a 'wrapped' gift(lol). Wrap Artists may also choose to have a gift tag on the wrap that says for example: From: Phillips77 To: Cruderocks Community :).
  2. Tracks will appear snowy, but will feel the same. Also, it would be fun to have a couple 'Drifthead Snowmen' statically cheering you on at the corners 🙂

If anyone would like to add to this idea feel free 🙂. All ideas are welcome, but please be reasonable with your expectations ha ha.

X7 Holiday Gift Wrap Details

X7 Holiday themed wrap. Made this for the awesome community. You can download the PNG from my profile on Steam by following the link below. (I used Project Drift X body parts for this but it should work for most aftermarket body panels.)

It's been a while since I've had the opportunity to use any of my time on something that wasn't college finals or work. Having just finished finals last week I figured I would check up on one of my favorite drifting games.

After I started up the game, I noticed a few things different in my garage. New little toy cars sprawling across the floor running off their little turn-key motors satisfied a void of cuteness and hinted at an amount of holiday jolliness from the developers. Along with the traditional tire stack Christmas tree(Must be a new kind of Spruce) with lights lining the room. However, the best was yet to come. Little did I know that there were many more changes that awaited me at the track.

I decided to load up into Freemode to get a sense for the handling of the cars again(It's been a while). "Why not choose a lobby with collision"? I ask myself. just to feel more like a pro when I push the limit and get in close to players in tandem. Wow! What happened to the grass! There must be a missing texture or something! Or maybe-just maybe.. Cruderocks took my suggestions to heart and decided to give us all a wonderful surprise!

"So if there's snow on the ground, there must be a snowman around here somewhere" Saying to myself as I set off on a quest to find the rare Cruderocks Drifthead Snowmen. First round around the track did not result in locating the snowmen. "Maybe I was just going to fast to see them. Let's try it again a bit slower".  Halfway through the track, I find the man of snow I had been searching for. "Oh awesome he's got a classy top hat"! "Wait, are those gauges for eyes"! "And he has nuts for buttons". Exclaiming to myself as I make observation of the snowman.

It's been a good amount of time since I have been able to play this game again. When I was finally able to come back, I was EXTREMELY surprised to see the amount of festive additions made for the holidays.

Thank you Cruderocks for always listening to suggestions made by our community. Especially for this special time of year. I hope all of you are enjoying your time along with friends and family in front of a nice warm fireplace, exchanging stories as the stars shine brighter.
